How do I get verified (ID, licence, or insurance badges)?

To earn verification badges on your profile, you need to submit the required information through the app:

Verification Badges

Profiles may display badges based on information users provide through the app.

ID Verified (Providers):
Service Providers complete identity verification during Stripe onboarding. Accounts that successfully complete this process receive an “ID Verified” badge and must complete this step before accepting bookings.

ID Provided:
Users may upload a government-issued ID to their profile. This is required for Travellers who want to book services or participate in Travel Mates.

Licence Provided:
If you offer a regulated service that requires a trade licence or certification (for example plumbing, electrical work, gas fitting or certain health services), you must upload the relevant licence before offering that service. Once uploaded, a Licence Provided badge will appear on your profile to indicate that a licence document has been provided.

Insurance:
Providers are encouraged to hold appropriate insurance. You may upload proof of insurance (such as a certificate of currency) to your profile. Once uploaded, an Insured badge will appear on your profile.

These badges indicate that information or documents have been provided through the app. VanLife Connect does not independently verify licences, insurance, or other uploaded documents, and users should make their own enquiries where appropriate.

The app will guide you through each step, and badges appear automatically once the required information is submitted.
